WORLD high diving champion Aidan Heslop returned to winning ways in the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series this weekend.
Heslop took victory in the second stop of the 2024 series in Boston, having started the campaign with a sixth-place finish in Athens last month.
The 22-year-old Plymouth diver, who has been runner-up in the series for the past two years, executed an impressive final dive to take victory with 451.55 points, ahead of American James Lichtenstein with 444.80 points, and independent athlete Nikita Fedotov, who claimed third place with 397.95 points.
Heslop said: “I went into Athens with a bit too much pressure on myself and I wanted to come here and have a bit more fun. That’s what seems to put me in the right mindset to do these good dives, so that’s how I’m going to stay for the rest of the season.”
The victory has moved Heslop up to second in the overall standings after two events.
The next stop will be the Italian venue of Polignano a Mare on June 30.
