TWO young BMX riders have continued their progress by claiming regional titles and impressing at the British Championships.
Jack and Lucas Belton both won their age groups at the South West Region Series over the summer, which featured 10 races held in various location from Cornwall to Wales.
And last weekend the pair travelled to Derby to take part in the British Championships.
Lucas came 17th out of the 73 riders who qualified for the event in the boys’ 11 years’ category, while Jack reached the final of the boys’ nine-year-old age group and finished fifth.
Jack had already qualified for next year’s World Championships in Copenhagen after impressing in the National Series.
The pair fell in love with BMX riding after visiting the Decoy track in Newton Abbot.
They initially started off training and then did some local races before becoming totally hooked on competing. The family now travel all over the country to take part in events.
