RUNNERS enjoyed a sunny trek around Newnham Park on Friday night as Bowel Cancer West hosted eight-mile and four-mile races around the private estate.
The event, which also involved a canicross category, was the prelude for today’s Backyard Ultra run, which sees competitors run a 4.167-mile lap every hour, on the hour. The aim is for athletes to complete as many laps as they can.
The Newnham 8 Miler race on Friday saw runners do two laps of the course, while the four-mile race was just one circuit of the estate.
