City of Plymouth’s Adam Dingley sets a new PB and breaks a club record held by David King

City of Plymouth junior Adam Dingley achieved an impressive feat at the weekend by not only setting a new 60m hurdles PB but also breaking a club record held by David King.

Dingley clocked 8.33 seconds over the barriers to finish third in a top-quality under-17 boys’ final at the London Indoor Age Groups Games at Lee Valley.

That time beat Olympian King’s previous best for that age group which stood at 8.40 seconds.

Dingley, who clocked 8.41 seconds in his heat at Lee Valley, in now up to fourth in the UK rankings.

Meanwhile, World Indoor Championship finalist King is currently ranked third in the UK senior men’s rankings with 7.70 seconds. The Great Britain international has run that time twice this season – the last coming at the weekend as he finished fifth in the final of the 60m hurdles at the World Athletics Tour ISTAF Indoor Meeting in Dusseldorf, Germany.
