PLYMOUTH Harriers’ Tom Humphrey took victory for the second month running in the Armada Winter 3k Series at Central Park on Wednesday night.

Having come home first in the opening series run in October in 10 minutes and 10 seconds, Humphrey went 15 seconds quicker this month to once again lead everyone home.

Second this time was Newport Harriers’ Craig Williams in 10.01, with City of Plymouth’s Matthew Bradley third in 10.07, Torbay’s Peter Monaghan fourth in 10.18 and Birchfield’s Daniel Watling fifth in 10.27.

The battle to be first women home on Wednesday night went right down to the wire with Plymouth University student Lilly Hawkins just finishing one second ahead of Plymouth Harriers’ Jane Allison.

Hawkins clocked 11.44 minutes with Allison given 11.45. Third female was Erme Valley Harriers’ youngster Olivia Travers, who for the second month running clocked 12.45 minutes exactly.
