PLYMOUTH Argyle progressed in the FAW National League Cup with a 4-1 away victory at Maidenhead United on Sunday.
The Pilgrims led 2-0 at the break, with Kathyrn Dickson scoring in the opening three minutes and Ava Kuyken doubling their lead just before the interval.
Charlotte Whitmore added a third after half-time before the home team pulled one back through Amelie Mayani.
But Ellie Sara made totally sure of the victory with Argyle’s fourth seven minutes from time.
Marine Academy Plymouth suffered their first defeat of the season in the South West Women’s Premier Division as they went down 1-0 away at new leaders Forest Green Rovers.
Irene Aguado scored the winning goal in the meeting between two sides who had set the pace at the start of the campaign.
In the South West Western Division, Saltash United continued their winning start to the season by beating Weymouth 3-1 in horrible weather at Kimberley Stadium.
Lucy Jones netted twice for the Ashes, with Olivia Ramsey bagging their other goal.
In the same division, Plympton’s game away at Cornish side Sticker was postponed.
In the Devon Women’s League South & West Division, Elm United produced a good second half display to beat Signal Box 5-2 in torrential rain at Tor Bridge High.
Abi Snell and Ella Parrott both netted twice for Elm, with Charlotte Rex also on target for the home side. Ellie Pearce and Melanie Finch scored Signal Box’s goals.
Hunters District enjoyed a 15-5 victory at fellow strugglers Tavistock on Sunday in the bad weather.
Molly Dring scored five for Hunters, with Channon Hodge getting four and Chloe Thompson three. Ellie Simpson got two and Bethany Liley was also on target for the visitors.
Horrabridge also netted 15 times as they beat The Victory Pub 15-0 at a wet Fillace Park.
SB Oak Villa and Plainmoor played out a 2-2 draw at Weston Mill, with Rachel Finch and Ella Stevens on target for the home side.
Meanwhile, Lakeside Athletic went down 2-1 away at Shaldon Villa, with Lily Daw netting the Ernesettle-based club’s only goal in south Devon.
