Plymouth diving stars in international action in Canada and Germany

PLYMOUTH’S leading divers are in international action this weekend.

Tonia Couch and Tom Daley are in Windsor, Canada, competing at the final FINA/NVC World Series event, while Matthew Dixon is in Germany at the Dresden International Youth Meet.

Couch and Daley will both take to the boards on Friday at the World Series.

Couch will compete in the women’s 10m synchro event with Lois Toulson, while Daley will once again team up with Dan Goodfellow in the men’s 10m synchro.

Daley, who won three medals at the last World Series leg in Kazan, will also compete in the men’s individual platform event and the mixed three-metre synchro competition with Grace Reid on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Dixon, who turned 17 this week, will be hoping to continue his impressive year so far when he takes on many of the world’s best young divers in Dresden.

Dixon, who last week won the British Elite Junior title and won two medals at this month’s FINA Grand Prix in Canada, will compete in the boys’ A platform competition on Sunday.
