TAVISTOCK athlete Josh Davies opened his indoor season in style by winning two South West junior titles in Cardiff at the weekend.
Davies triumphed in the under-17 boys’ 200m and 400m at the regional championships, which were incorporated into the Welsh Junior Grand Prix.
The Mount Kelly College student clocked 23.60 seconds for the 200m and 53.21 seconds for the 400m.
Fellow Tavistock athlete Isaac Day also returned home from Cardiff with a title. He won the South West under-15 boys’ 300m, clocking 42.81 seconds.
Day also took silver in the 200m with a time of 26.27 seconds.
Club colleague Tegan Holdaway was another medallist in Wales. She won South West silver in the under-15 girls’ 300m in 46.04 seconds.
