PLYMOUTH Buccaneers Flag American Football team travel to Hereford on Sunday for their final BAFA Southwestern Conference tournament knowing just one win will secure them a place in the end of season play-offs.

If they can secure a victory from one of their three matches it will be the first time in the club’s five-year history they have reached the play-offs.

The Bucs have really turned their season around after starting with five consecutive defeats. Since then, though, they have gone on an eight-game winning streak.

Head coach Gareth Hawcroft said the current Buccs team were the most dedicated and talented bunch of players he and assistant coach Kev Bellerby had ever had.

“Their work ethic has been unbelievable from day one of training and their hard work has paid off this has been shown through the teams stats,” said Hawcroft.
