PLYMOUTH Devils will have Todd Kurtz and Sam Simota back in their side after recovering from injury for the Premier League visit to Sheffield on Thursday (7.30pm).
Skipper Kyle Newman is still sidelined with a broken collarbone and the Devils will operate rider replacement to cover his absence.
There is also a fitness doubt over reserve Stefan Nielsen, who took a knock while riding for his Elite League side Swindon last Thursday. It is hoped that he will have recovered in time for the trip to Sheffield and he has been included in the declared side.
Plymouth last collected any points in the Premier League when they beat Edinburgh at the St Boniface Arena on June 18. Since then they have suffered four away defeats and also lost at home to Ipswich in the League and Somerset in the League Cup.
The Devils do not have a home match this week, but round off the month with home fixtures against Redcar on Friday, July 22 and Scunthorpe on Friday, July 29 in addition to visiting Ipswich on July 28.
Team manager Lee Trigger said: “We need to get back to the form that we are capable of producing. If we do that we can start winning matches again, which is important because we need to start putting some points on the board.”
Sheffield: Simon Stead, rider replacement for Jason Garrity, Kyle Howarth, Josh Bates, Dimitri Berge. Reserves: Arthur Sissis, Nathan Greaves.
Plymouth: Brady Kurtz, rider replacement for Kyle Newman, Sam Simota, Todd Kurtz, Jack Holder. Reserves: Stefan Nielsen, Ellis Perks.
