PLYMOUTH sprinter James Arnott clocked a wind-assisted personal best of 11.36 seconds to claim a silver medal at the IWAS World Junior Games in Holland.
The 18-year-old T46 athlete was competing in the under-23 category at the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation event in Stadskanaal.
Arnott, who has limited movement in his left shoulder due to Erbs Palsy, had won bronze in the same race last year.
He was only beaten this year by Germany’s Johannes Floors, two years older than Arnott, who clocked 11.28 seconds. Russia’s Mikhail Slikin was third in 11.76.
Arnott, who is also competing in the 200m event in Holland, has another major event to look forward to this month after earning an invite to the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games in London on July 26.
