Community basketball sessions to be held at Marjons during September

THE Plymouth & District Basketball League will be holding open community scrimmages during September.

These sessions have been set up for new players looking to possibly play in the league, for existing players to warm up before the season starts, to encourage totally new people to try the sport or for players who just want to play socially.

The P&D League are also doing what they can to encourage more female participation in basketball and so also welcome women to the sessions, which will take place at Plymouth Marjon University each Wednesday in September.

The scrimmages are for open to anyone over the age of 16, but players aged between 16 and 18 are asked to message the Plymouth and District Basketball League Facebook page to register. Anyone over 18 can just turn up at Marjons for the sessions, which will run from 7-8.30pm.

No membership is required but players are asked to pay £1 to put towards court hire.
