GALLERY: Pictures from Ivybridge Town v Elmore

IVYBRIDGE Town made it four wins in a row by beating Elmore 2-1 at Erme Valley on Saturday in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division East.

After losing their opening three games, the Bridgers have really found some form in the last couple of weeks.

Elmore did start quite well but the hosts weathered the early pressure and then took the lead in the 20th minute with a goal from Nick Aplin after some good build up down the left.

Eleven minutes later, Elmore found themselves down to 10 men after having a player sent off for denying a goal-scoring opportunity.

And two minutes before half-time, Ivybridge doubled their lead when Josh Tattersall calmly beat Elmore’s out-rushing goalkeeper.

The visitors did regroup at half-time but they needed their keeper to make a fine save before they did cut the gap on 60 minutes.

Ivybridge were denied twice more by Elmore’s custodian before they also hit the bar from the corner.

Somehow Elmore stayed in the game and gave Ivybridge a few nervous moments towards the end.
