DEVONPORT Services II will begin their defence of the Lockie Cup with a home match against Cornwall/Devon League side Tavistock.

The draws for both the 2019-20 Lockie Cup and the Ellis Trophy were made at the recent Plymouth Combination AGM.

As well as Services taking on Tavistock, the first round draw has also thrown up another good battle between Cornwall/Devon League rivals Plymstock Albion Oaks and Liskeard-Looe.

The other first round match will see last year’s semi-finalists, Peninsula Medical School host Devon One outfit OPMs.

Last year’s runners-up Old Techs, Tamar Saracens, Plymouth Argaum, Saltash II and University of Plymouth III have all got first round byes.

Sarries will host big rivals Old Techs in the last eight, with University of Plymouth III playing the winners of the Services v Tavistock clash, Argaum will entertain the winner of the Medics v OPMs game, while Saltash II will host the victor in the Oaks v Liskeard-Looe clash.

In the Ellis Trophy first round, DHSOB will visit Tavistock II, while St Columba & Torpoint will host Devonport Service III and Plymouth Argaum II will entertain Plymstock Albion Oaks II.

Plympton Victoria, OPMs II, Tamar Saracens II, Liskeard-Looe II and Saltash III all got first round byes in the Ellis Trophy.

Lockie Cup quarter-finals:  University of Plymouth III v Services II or Tavistock, Tamar Saracens v Old Techs, Plymouth Argaum v Medics or OPMs, Saltash II v Plymstock Albion Oaks or Liskeard-Looe.

Ellis Trophy first round:  Tavistock II v DHSOB, Plymouth Argaum II v Plymstock Albion Oaks II, St Columba & Torpoint v Devonport Services III.

Ellis Trophy quarter-finals:  Tamar Saracens II v Tavistock II or DHSOB, OPM II v Plym Vic, Liskeard-Looe II v Argaum II or Oaks II, Saltash III v St Columba or Services III.
