Piper and Miller claims medals at British Championship qualifier in Telford

CITY of Plymouth Gymnastics Club enjoyed a successful trip to Telford at the weekend for the opening British Championship qualifier of the season.

Oscar Piper, competing in the 13/14 age group, won gold in the double mini-trampoline (DMT) with a personal best score. His performance in Telford has qualified him for the British finals in September in both trampoline and DMT.

In the 15/16 age group trampoline, Ben Miller not only secured qualification to the British Championships, but also won a silver medal with a massive PB score.

Evangeline Piper, in the 13/14 category, performed to her usual high standards in the double mini trampoline to ensure she also qualified for the British Championships.

The team also had Oliver Lacey (9/10), Nyla Evely (11/12), Charlie Pearson (17-21) and Jenny Moore (Disability) competing on the trampoline in Telford.

The second and final qualifying event takes place in Sheffield at the beginning of June.
