Marine Academy Kings under-13s have a season to remember

MARINE Academy Kings under-13s have enjoyed a season to remember.

The team followed up winning last year’s under-12 Hood League Cup by securing the 2016/17 under-13 Astor League title.

The club won the league by an impressive eight points.

They also reached the Devon County Cup final last month and next weekend (May 20) will play in the League Cup final.

The team are sponsored by Mylesmoor Travel, but have just got a new kit thanks to a fundraising coffee day organised by one of the team’s grandparents.

The kit is in memory of Jay Rumbold, who sadly died playing football at the age of 15 in 2000. His mother helped raise the funds for the kit as her grandson, Ralphie, plays for the team.

The new kit (pictured below) will be worn for the first time in a game at next week’s League Cup final.
