The 16-year-old followed in the footsteps of team-mate Victoria Vincent, who had won the girls’ B platform final on Saturday evening.
Dixon had qualified for the final in fourth place, but kept his nerve when it mattered to seal victory with his last dive. He finished with 492.25 points. Russia’s Maksim Lebedev took second with 486.05 points and fellow Great Britain diver Noah Williams came third with 476.95.
Plymouth Diving enjoyed a highly successful European Junior Championships, winning five medals.
As well as her individual gold, Vincent also claimed a team bronze, Madeline Coquoz, competing for Switzerland, won a synchro gold, while Dixon’s cousin Shanice Lobb won individual platform silver in the girls’ A category.
Alfie Brown and Aidan Heslop were also finalists at the competition in Rijeka.
