Plymouth Devils will be back to full strength for Somerset’s cup visit

Devils arenaPLYMOUTH Devils will look to extend their unbeaten home run and block Somerset’s ambitions of progressing into the semi-finals of the League Cup when the teams meet in the Southern Group decider at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.15pm).

Lee Trigger, Devils team manager said: “When we went up there and they beat us by 10 points, they were looking at the match points difference in the league table.

“It could be they think the hard work is done because they have a better points difference than Rye House, who are currently top of the group, so they need only the three match points from us.

“But for Somerset to win the group, they still have to beat us and we will be there to put them out of the cup.

“It will be our second match with our current full strength side, so it is another meeting for us to gel together and we will be looking to extend our four-match unbeaten run at home.”

In fact, both teams will be at full strength, with Plymouth welcoming back Jack Holder and new number one Brady Kurtz, who will be making his second appearance for the Devils.

Somerset include former Plymouth rider Paul Starke in their line-up.

Plymouth have re-arranged their away Premier League match against Peterborough, which will take place on Tuesday June 21.

Plymouth: Brady Kurtz, Kyle Newman, Jack Holder, Todd Kurtz, Sam Simota. Reserves: Stefan Nielsen, Ellis Perks.

Somerset: Josh Grajczonek, Jake Allen, Charles Wright, Paul Starke, Rohan Tungate. Reserves: Bradley Wilson Dean, Zach Wajknecht.
