PLYMOUTH Harriers’ Tom Humphrey won his second successive Armada Summer 5k Series run on Wednesday evening at Saltram Park.
Humphrey had finished first in May’s run and he repeated that feat in June’s race.
The city runner, who had come third in April’s race, clocked 17.27 minutes in hot conditions on Wednesday to comfortably win.
Plymstock Road Runners’ veteran Graham Bale was second in 17.55 and Lucas Lapthorn third in 18.05.
Plymouth Harriers’ Alex Peyton Jones and David Mattock were both given the same time – 18.09 – but Peyton Jones won the battle for fourth spot.
Erme Valley Harriers’ Emma Lake was first women home in 21.05 minutes, with Newton Abbot’s Tilly Woods second (22.04) and Anna Bale third in 22.11.
The warm weather saw a good turnout at Saltram, with 180 finishes, which was 25 more than last month.
