DEVONPORT Services Under-18 Ladies won the South West Plate final on Sunday by beating Wellington 36-7 at the Rectory.

Services opened the scoring after two minutes through number eight Daisy French and this was followed soon after by a try for winger Francesca Bombieri.

Kate Pridwell also crossed to make it 17-0 before Wellington replied with well worked try just before half-time to make it 17-7 at the break.

However, French added two further tries for Services after the interval and Talei Seru also crossed for one. Lagi Tuima converted three of the tries.

Tuima (pictured above) was also chosen as player of the match by Graham Dawe, who also presented the Plate Trophy to Services captain Cloe Waterfield.
