NEW-LOOK Plymouth Albion played their first match on Saturday when they took on Championship side Jersey at a sunny St Peter.
Although they lost 43-15 there were plenty of positives for Graham Dawe’s side, who still have a month to go before they open their National One league campaign with a home match against Richmond.
Albion did take a 15-0 lead thanks to tries by summer signings Nile Dacres and Ethan Ford and five points from the boot of trialist fly-half Elliot Bale and were only four points behind at half-time, but Jersey turned on the power second half with their pack taking control.
