ERME Valley Harriers’ Neil Holmes was first over-50 veteran home in Sunday’s Torbay Half Marathon.
Holmes came 18th overall and 16th male in a time of one hour, 19 minutes and 42 seconds.
Just ahead of him were Tamar Trotters’ pair of Jacob Landers and Peter Waumsley.
Landers was 14th overall and 12th male in 1:17.56 and Waumsley was one place behind and third over-40 in 1:18.40.
Devon-based Derby AC runner Johnny Gilby continued his good form by finishing second in 1:10.09 behind winner Vincent Boit, who clocked 1:09.21.
Gilby recently won the Plym Valley Challenge and the last Armada Summer 5k Series race at Saltram.
Tavistock’s Tracey Oxborough was first over-50 female in a time of 1:41.23.

Meanwhile, Plymouth hurdler David King ran under-14 seconds twice within an hour-and-a-half at the Bauhaus Junioren Gala in Mannheim.
He ran 13.92 in the heats and then 13.94 in the final. However, in both races he finished behind his Great Britain under-23 rival David Omoregie.
