SB OAK Villa have moved to the top of the Devon League South & West Division with just two games of the season to go.
The in-form Weston Mill side took advantage of long-term leaders Horrabridge Rangers slipping up at the weekend to move one point ahead of them.
Horrabridge were surprisingly beaten 2-1 at home by Shaldon Villa.
Rangers had plenty of chances but struggled to find the target, with Leese Grainger scoring their only goal at Fillace Park.
Oak Villa, though, had no trouble finding the net and were pretty clinical in a 7-0 home win over much-improved Hunters District.
Mia Dulling and Amy Pridham both scored hat-tricks for the young Oak Villa side, with Saskia Brisley getting their other goal.
Fellow Weston Mill-based club Signal Box also had no problem taking their chances in an 11-2 away victory at Paignton Villa. Niamh Reynold bagged four, with Phoebe White scoring a hat-trick and Ellie Pearce netting twice. Also on target for Signal Box was Erin Rumble and Aimee Sharples.
On Thursday evening, Elm United were just edged out in the League Cup semi-final at Buckfastleigh by Paignton Villa, who triumphed 5-4 in a high-scoring affair. Elm’s scorers were Crystal-Mae Pollock (2), Maisie Godfrey and Charlotte Rex.
Also on Thursday, Tavistock were beaten 8-1 at home by Shaldon Villa.
Saltash Borough were handed a walkover on Sunday by St Dennis in the Cornwall League.
