SALTASH United and Marine Academy Plymouth both reached the first round proper of the Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.
The Ashes overcame fellow Cornish club St Agnes 7-1 away. Player-of-the-match Nicola Champion, Yasmin Franklin and Hayley Ranachan all scored twice, with Billie Swan also on target.
Saltash will now host FA National League Division One side AFC Bournemouth in the first round proper on Sunday, November 3.
Marine Academy face an away trip to Hampshire to play Bursldeon after they beat Gloucester City 3-1 away on Sunday.
Rosie Woodward put Marine Academy 1-0 up at half-time before Abbie Woodward and Carmen Morison added second goals to put them 3-0 ahead before Gloucester scored a late consolation.
But there was FA Cup disappointment for Cornwall League side Saltash Borough who were beaten 14-0 by high-flying National League Division One South West side Moneyfields.
Plymouth Argyle now enter the FA Cup and they have been handed a first round home tie against South West Premier Division side Poole Town.
Argyle remain five points away from safety in the FA National League Southern Premier Division after they lost 5-1 to title-chasing Ipswich Town on Sunday.
The Pilgrims battled hard and it was only 1-1 at half-time, with Leah Mitchell putting Ipswich ahead before Charlotte Whitmore pulled Argyle level just before the break.
But Charlotte Fleming and Angela Addison both scored within five minutes of each other in the second period to put the visitors 3-1 ahead before Maria Boswell and Fleming added further goals in the final five minutes.
The defeat followed on from a 3-0 mid-week loss at home to Exeter City in a match that attracted nearly 2,000 spectators.
Plympton continued their 100 per cent record in South West Division One South with a 2-1 away victory at Helston Athletic. Dionne Igalawuye and Elsa Finnegan scored for Plympton.
Horrabridge Rangers continue to set the pace at the top of Devon League South & West Division after they overcame Signal Box 2-0 at Fillace Park thanks to two quick-fire second half goals.
The first half was pretty even, with Victoria Jasper coming closest to scoring when she hit the post in the 38th minute.
And it was Jasper who put the home side ahead in the 60th minute, just after the Signal Box goalkeeper had made a great save.
Horrabridge’s lead was doubled within the space of a minute when a goal-line clearance rebounded off Toni Allen and into the net.
Elm United dropped down to third in the table after they lost 2-1 away at Shaldon Villa, who have leap-frogged above them in the standings.
The Victory Pub had to come from 1-0 down to beat a spirited Tavistock side 3-1 away on Sunday.
Megan Williams had put bottom club Tavistock ahead at the break, but Rhia Cousins, Lola Mumford and Jade Viles netted for The Victory in the second period.
Two goals from Lily Daw helped Lakeside Athletic to a 2-2 away draw against Paignton Villa, while Hunters District were beaten 9-4 at home by Plainmoor. Mollie Dring (2), Eleanor Cranch and Channon Hodge scored for Hunters.
