GALLERY: Plymouth Argaum’s new women’s team play their first proper game of rugby

PLYMOUTH Argaum’s new women’s team played their first proper match on Sunday when they took on Exeter Saracens in front of a large crowd at Bickleigh Down.

Argaum were more than a match for the youthful Exeter side up front, but the visiting backs were just too fast and clinical on the day.

Saracens ended up running in 13 tries, with six of those coming in the final 20 minutes as Argaum tired in their first-ever game.

But the Argaum team, who did have a couple of really good chances to score themselves, were just happy to have played their first proper fixture and are now looking forward to playing many more.

A club spokesperson said: “Tigresses well beaten by a youthful Exeter Saracens side but it’s great to have a game under the belt at last. There was great skill and endeavour on display.”
