The Armada Athletics Network will now be moving to their winter 3k series, which will begin in Central Park on October 13. That will start at 7pm at the community hub near the tennis courts.
Meanwhile, there will be a number of Armada athletes representing Devon or Cornwall at this weekend’s South of England U15/U20 Inter-Counties Championships at Oxford.
Among those pulling on a Devon vest will be City of Plymouth’s Hannah Gellatly, who this month won the under-20 title at the Welsh Junior Hammer Championships.
Gellatly threw 47.48m to take gold, with Swansea’s Cassey Grimwade securing silver with a best of 45.86m.
The City of Plymouth athlete, who has a best of 48.03m this season, represented Wales U20s at the Manchester International last month.
