PLYMOUTH Harriers teenager Sam Yearling added another 10k title to his ever-growing collection on Saturday evening.
Yearling dug deep to see off the challenge of Royal Navy athlete William Tyrell-Moore and Welshman Billy Hatyon to win the Cornwood 10k.
His victory follows on from success at the Muddy Duck 10k, Bere Penn 10k, Tamar Bridge 10k and the Mad March Hare.
Katie Deards, who has also been in good form this season, claimed the women’s title, finishing ahead of Amy James and Janette Beaton, who was also first female veteran.
Torbay’s Pete Monaghan was first male veteran with a fourth place finish overall, with Storm’s Pete Waumsley and Erme Valley Harriers’ Allister Bristow claiming the other male veterans’ prizes.
As well as the 10k run, which took runners around Cornwood and Lutton, there was also a 4k fun run, which was convincingly won by City of Plymouth youngster Thomas Jones.
