Argyle Ladies strengthen their squad with trio of new arrivals

PLYMOUTH Argyle Ladies have added to their squad ahead of the new National League Southern Premier Division season.

Masie Williams, who made 14 starts and scored six goals for Marine Academy Plymouth last season in the South West League has joined the Pilgrims, while powerful midfielder Ellie Bishop returns to the club after scoring four goals in 15 matches for MAP last term.

Another new signing is Holly Cole from Portsmouth, who is a PTI in the Royal Navy.

The Pilgrims will be hopeful of announcing some new goalkeepers for next season soon.

Argyle have been continuing their heavy training schedule at Marjon University in preparation for the new campaign.

Not at currently training is Steph Beck, who will not return from working in the USA until September, while Greek under-20 international Panagiota Papaioannou is still away in Greece.

Argyle will play the Royal Navy away (July 17), Exeter away (July 25), Bishops Lydeard away (July 28), Bristol City at home (August 4) and Poole Town away (August 11) in pre-season.
