Divers from around the country head to Plymouth for annual Armada Cup

UP-AND-COMING divers from around the country will be in Plymouth this weekend for the annual Armada Cup.

The long-standing event is one of the biggest on the diving calendar and will run from Saturday through to Tuesday.

Teams from Southampton, Albratross DC, Dacorum, Dive London, Luton, Sheffield, Cambridge, Aberdeen, Crystal Palace and Harraogate will be among those travelling to the event.

Host club Plymouth Diving will also have a large team of aspiring youngsters competing,as well as some of their more established stars.

Plymouth’s team currently includes Alfie Westerman, Ben Bluett, Evie McCabe, Maria Marasescu, Millie Ayres, Abby Fishleigh, Connor West, Tom Davis, Scarlett Colbourne, Yvie Tucker, Aimee Fishleigh, Harry Mason, Oliver Heath, Theo Stevens, Ellie Pearce, Katie Martin, Lucy Gutierrez-Freeman, Summer Radcliffe, Olivia Hall, Ben Kearton, Jack Kinsman-Moore, Jack Harrison-Bennetton, Josh Freeman, Matthew Dixon, Aidan Heslop, Alfie Brown, Kayleigh Sinclair, Iris Schmidbauer, Victoria Vincen, Kate Saxby, Georgia McCoy and Madeline Coquoz.

The event comes just weeks after the Life Centre hosted the British Diving Championships for a third time. The British Elite Junior Championships will also be held in Plymouth in April.
