Plymouth rugby community ready for Paul Lethbridge Memorial Game

THE annual Paul Lethbridge Memorial Game takes place on Sunday at Tamar Saracens’ Parkway ground.

The event is now in its fifth year and is held in memory of former Plymouth Combination player Paul Lethbridge who sadly died in 2013.

The day will see Tamar Saracens, Old Techs and a Plymouth Combination side play each other in a round-robin competition.

Each game will last one hour and half the players of each squad must be over-35. The first match will start at 1pm.

This year as well as raising money for local rugby, the event will also help the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

There will be family entertainment and a hog roast during the day and a disco in the evening.

“It should be a cracking day,” said Tamar Saracens’ vice-chairman Dan Leeson. “And we are hoping to raise more money than last year.”
