PLYMOUTH Buccaneers Flag American Football Club are to launch a new junior side for 2017.

The Buccs enjoyed their more successful season to date in 2016, reaching the national play-offs, and they are now on the verge of wrapping up the winter South West Series title.

However, they want to build on their success and grow the sport by introducing an under-16 side.

The juniors will play the same five-a-side limited contact version of American Football and it is open for both boys and girls.

The new team will train on a Saturday from 12noon to 1.30pm at the YMCA Kitto Centre.
