DEVONPORT Services, Plymstock Albion Oaks and Plymouth Argaum will all have taken some positives out of Thursday night’s 10s tournament at the Rectory.

Host club Services, who play in Western Counties West, entered two teams – Blue and Red – with Cornwall/Devon League outfits Oaks and Argaum fielding one team each but bringing large squads.

All the teams managed to claim at least one victory.

IMG_9624Services’ Blues won all their matches, although they were pushed hard by their club team-mates in the third match before triumphing 17-12. They then turned on the style to run in six tries against Argaum, who were mixing and matching their team.

Services Reds narrowly beat Argaum in their opening game before losing to Oaks in an extended final match. That was a young Plymstock side’s best performance of the night.

Argaum’s win came against Oaks, winning 12-10 having been 10-0 down.
