Bryson and Pillage head to Ireland for Under-19 World Champs

Myles Pillage and Kerenza Bryson Youth A European Pentathlon Championships

PLYMOUTH modern pentathletes Kerenza Bryson and Myles Pillage will compete in the Under-19 World Championships which start in Limerick on Thursday.

They form part of an eight-strong Great Britain Youth A squad that has flown out to Ireland.

The women’s qualifier is on Thursday, with the men’s prelims on Friday.

Bryson, 17, was victorious in the Under-19 Girls’ British Modern Pentathlon Championships last month, while Plymouth College’s Myles Pillage, 18, claimed victory at GB Youth International in March.

The GB team enjoyed a pre-World Championships training camp at the National Training Centre at the University of Bath last weekend in preparation for the competition.

The World Championships run through to Monday, when the relay events will be held. The women’s final is scheduled for Saturday, with the men’s on Sunday.
