PLYMOUTH Diving’s Connor West enjoyed a highly-successful ASA National Age Group Championships in Sheffield.
West returned home from Ponds Forge with three gold medals and a silver.
He triumphed in the boys’ B individual three-metre and platform events and in the A/B synchro competition with team-mate Harry Mason. West then added silver in the one-metre final on the last day of the championships, with fellow Plymouth diver Joshua Hughes grabbing bronze.
Summer Radcliffe also claimed a National Age Group title. She won the girls’ D one-metre event.
As well as his synchro gold, Mason added bronze in the boys’ A three-metre final.
There was also a bronze medal for Tom Davis in the boys’ B platform.
A number of other Plymouth divers came agonisingly close to picking up medals, with Euan McCabe, Aimee Fishleigh and Shana Vallance all claiming individual fourth-placed finishes.
Other divers competing for Plymouth at Sheffield included Oscar Piper, Zach Anderson, Josh Freeman, Josh Gibbs, Ben Bluett, Morgan Boyd, Sam Isaac, Frances Burdett, Evie McCabe and Orla Lynch.
Meanwhile, Plymouth Diving’s European Junior Championship medal winners Matthew Dixon, Shanice Lobb and Victoria Vincent are heading out to Italy to compete in the FINA Grand Prix in Bolzano, which starts on Friday.
