NEW signings Charlie Gjedde and Ellis Perks will make their first appearances in the Plymouth colours when they take part in the Spring Classic individual meeting at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.15pm).
They are included in a 12-strong line-up competing over 12 qualifying heats with the leading scorers going through to two semi-finals and a final.
Three other Plymouth riders involved will be Todd Kurtz, Jack Holder and Sam Simota. The two missing members of the Devils side are skipper Kyle Newman and reserve Stefan Nielsen, who will be involved with their Elite League clubs Poole and Swindon.
Four former Plymouth riders returning to the St Boniface Arena for the evening are Ben Barker, Morten Risager, Mikkel Bech and Ashley Morris.
Completing the line-up are Steve Boxall, who has been linked with the Devils in the past and is currently unattached, Ulrich Ostergaard of Peterborough and Danny Ayres from Glasgow.
Co-promoter David Short says: “We have an attractive field and it will give our riders a chance to get in some useful track time against quality opposition before the official season starts.
“It will also enable our supporters to see a quality field in action at the St Boniface Arena.”
