Maunder to start for England Under-18s against France

maunderDUAL-registered Plymouth Albion scrum-half Jack Maunder will start for England Under-18s against France in South Africa on Friday.

The England side are taking part in the Under-18 International Series. As well as France, they will also face South Africa and South Africa A.

Head coach Fletcher said: “Touring is a vital part of the programme, giving the players the opportunity to experience playing in different and challenging environments against tough opposition.

“We had a good couple of sessions in England before flying out on Monday.  Training has been going well and the players are now really looking forward to the game.”

Maunder’s international commitments mean he misses Albion’s pre-season game against Jersey this weekend. Fellow scrum-half Matt Shepherd also misses Plymouth’s trip to the Channel Islands due as he is away on holiday, which means Cameron Setter will be their only available nine this weekend.
