AN impressive number of runners braved the tough Burrator Horseshoe Run on Saturday.
The annual seven-mile moorland race, which is part of the Meavy Oak Fair, takes competitors from Meavy to Burrator Reservoir before they climb to the summit of Sheepstor (369m above sea level) and then Gutter Tor (357m). After that the course heads downhill to Ringmoor Down and over Meavy Rise Ford and back to the start.
