Plymouth Albion to sign flanker Nile Dacres from Moseley

dawePLYMOUTH Albion are set to sign Moseley flanker Nile Dacres.

Director of rugby Graham Dawe (pictured) has confirmed the 23-year-old former Worcester, Rotherham and Stourbridge player has held talks with the National One club and that he was hopeful a deal would be completed ‘sooner rather than later’.

Dacres, who can also play in the second-row, made an impression on Dawe as a teenager when he scored against Albion for Worcester at Sixways in the British & Irish Cup in January 2011.

He featured in 24 league and cup games for Moseley last term, 11 as a replacement.

Dawe confirmed to Plymouth Sports Gazette: “We have been speaking to him and we are quite far along the road. Hopefully, everything will be confirmed sooner rather than later.”

Albion are having to try to put together virtually a whole new squad following their relegation from the Championship in April.
