POLL: Plymouth Argyle drop down to ninth after defeat at Dagenham

argylePLYMOUTH Argyle dropped out of a League Two promotion play-off position after losing 2-0 away at Dagenham & Redbridge on Tuesday evening.
The Pilgrims had gone into the game sitting seventh – the final play-off spot – but by 9.45pm they found themselves in ninth place, with Stevenage and Newport overtaking them.
John Sheridan’s side now face a massive home game on Saturday against eighth-placed Newport, who like Stevenage just above them, are a point in front of the Pilgrims.
Argyle found themselves behind after 30 minutes on Tuesday when Abu Ogogo put the home side ahead after Luke McCormick was unable to hold a shot from Ashley Chambers.
And Dagenham, with former Pilgrim Ashley Hemmings influential, sealed the match two minutes from time when 39-year-old former Exeter striker Jamie Cureton slotted home a second.
The win moved Dagenham up to 15th in the table and should be enough to keep them in the Football League.
