DARTMOOR Velo riders enjoyed a successful trip to West Yorkshire at the weekend to take part in the third round of the British Cycling National XC Series at Tong in Bradford.

The Tavistock-based junior cycling club returned home with four gold medals from the top event.

In the under-14 girls’ category Bryony Medland won both the XCC and XCO races.

There were also victories for Sam Medland and Aoife Scawn.

Sam Medland triumphed in the under-14 boys’ XCO race, while Scawn took victory in the under-16 girls’ event.

Round 4 of the series will be held at Pippingford Park in Sussex next month.
