SOUTH West Women’s League Division One South champions Saltash United ended their successful season with a 1-1 draw against Helston Athletic at home on Sunday afternoon.
The Ashes had guaranteed themselves the title after beating Sticker 4-2 on Wednesday night.
Evelyn Bray, who had scored twice against Sticker, netted the Ashes’ only goal against Helston at the weekend.
Saltash finished their league season with just one defeat and finished four points ahead of runners-up Plympton.
In the Devon Women’s League, SB Oak Villa have closed to within just two points of leaders Horrabridge Rangers after two wins in four days.
On Thursday evening they overcame Tavistock 6-1 away thanks to goals from Mia Dulling (3), Saskia Brisley, Natalie Shekhdar and Holly Bennett.
Then on Sunday they beat Shaldon Villa 3-2 away. Dulling netted twice in south Devon, with Brisley also finding the net again.
Their Weston Mill neighbours, Signal Box beat much-improved Hunters District 5-2 at home on Sunday.
Lola Mumford scored twice for Signal Box, with Phoebe White, Erin Rumble and Grace Brownridge also scoring.
In the same division, Tavistock were beaten 4-0 away at Paignton Villa.
