PLYMOUTH Rock Stars claimed victory at the BRIHA 3v3 Winter Classic Pond-Style Inline Hockey Tournament held at Ivybridge Leisure Centre.

The tournament featured two competitions – an entry level event featuring teams from Devon and Cornwall and an advance event.

Plymouth Rock Stars team made up of Tomas Kocis, Ben Leach and Owen Bottery won the advance tournament ahead of Paignton Dragon and Plymouth Eclipse.

Team Cornwall, made up of Ben Martin, Jamie Edwards, Paul Sewry and Harry Crosbie, won the entry level competition.

A spokesperson for the event said: “It was inspirational to watch the players enthusiasm and determination for the game.

“For many it was a great opportunity to play again after a long break and also experience the three-on-three mini goals style format.

“Each team displayed grit and determination to be the worthy winners.”
