RIDERS from the region impressed at the latest round of the South West Cyclo-Cross League held at Torbay Velopark on Sunday.
Origin Racing’s Leo White once again finished as first junior man and also came fourth overall in the combined senior race, which saw Magspeed’s Nick Bright edge out St Piran’s Tristan Davies by just three seconds.
Pilgrim Flyers’ Oli Allen was fifth overall and fourth senior. Plymouth Corinthian’s Ben Causon was second over-40 and his team-mate Mark Rockett was third over-50.
Catriana Ross was first woman, ahead of Heidi Gould and Grace Whitehouse.
Origin Racing’s under-14 rider Georgia Mahoney was first girl in the joint under-16 and under-14 race, with Dartmoor Velo’s Orla White second under-14 girl.
Jed Claxton was first under-14 boy, with George Watch first under-16 and Mid-Devon’s Grace Ward first under-16 girl.
In the under-12 boys’ race, Mid-Devon’s Matthew Holmes took victory, with Pilgrim Flyers’ James Allen second.
Lauren Fox, from Mid-Devon, was first under-12 girl and second overall, with Dartmoor Velo’s Aoife Scawn second girl.
Ben Ward (MDCC) was first under-10 boy, with Cornwall’s Freya Cudmore first girl and Dartmoor Velo’s Emily Eastmond second.
War Vena’s Brody Harris won the under-eights race, with MDCCs’s Charlotte Ward and Dartmoor Velo’s Rose Eastmond first and second girls.
