Dartmoor Velo’s Oliver Murphy was among the winners as his club hosted the South West Cyclo-Cross Championships at Plympton’s Newnham Park.
The event was incorporated into round five of the South West Cyclo-Cross League.
Murphy just edged out Origin Race Team’s Ewan Dix in the under-16 race by just four seconds.
Origin’s Georgia Mahoney was first girl in the joint under-14 and under-16 race, with fellow under-14 athlete Lara Dix of Dartmoor Velo just behind in second place.
The senior race was won by Saint Piran rider Tristan Davies.
The Cornishman finished nine seconds ahead of Magspeed Racing Nick Blight, with Aled Jones third.
Leo White (Origin Race Team) was fourth overall and first junior man. Mid-Devon’s James Pearcy was second junior man, with Origin’s Leon Dawes third.
Bridport veteran Catriona Ross was first women in the joint league and championships race, with Mid-Devon’s Catherine Kilburn second.
In the under-12 race, Dartmoor Velo’s Freddie Day was second boy.
