Plymouth Leander’s Dunn is named South West swimmer of the year

PLYMOUTH Leander’s Reece Dunn has been named South West swimmer of the Year.

Dunn beat a high standard field to the accolade, which caps an impressive 18 months for the Devon athlete.

In 2019, Dunn claimed a trio of World Para-Swimming Championship titles and set four S14 world records. It was his first full season of competing in para-swimming.

Dunn was looking on course to compete at this summer’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo, but will now have to wait until next year to try and fulfil his dream after the Games were postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
