The race has replaced the former Armada Autumn Trail that was held at the same venue.
As well as a 10k off-road event there was also a 2k run that took place beforehand so people could complete both races. There was also a cani-cross (running with a dog) event included on the day.
Austin was a comfortable winner of the 10k run, finishing 46 seconds ahead of second-placed Edward Horn of Tavistock.
Austin clocked 38.34 minutes for the race that included water crossings, with Horn finishing in 39.20.
Plymstock Road Runners’ Graham Bale took third place and first over-50 in 39.25 minutes.
Maddie Horton was the runaway winner of the women’s race, clocking 43.37 minutes. She was nearly nine minutes ahead of the second-placed female, who was Sara Tapp. Storm Plymouth’s Georgie Farr was third.
Jason Pascoe was the dominant winner of the cani-cross event, finishing in 35.46 minutes.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Bart Thomas took victory in the Tavy 5 run.
The Tavistock AC athlete clocked 17.14 minutes, to finish ahead of Kent runner Ryan Gibbons (17.38) in second and Plymouth Musketeers’ Mike Wall in third (18.26). Tavistock’s Emma Ryder was first women in 20.29 minutes.
