PLYMOUTH Argyle Ladies go into Sunday’s penultimate National Southern Premier Division match against league champions Coventry United at Bovey Tracey looking to put a dent in their visitors promotion celebrations (2pm).
Argyle, playing at their sixth ‘home’ venue of the season, will feel they have a score to settle with Coventry as they produced their worst performance of the season when losing 9-1 in the away league fixture.
However, they did put that display behind somewhat in a narrow 2-1 loss eight days later away in the FA Cup.
Since then, though, Argyle have recovered their good form and two 3-2 defeats at the hands of second-placed Cardiff City are their only losses in their previous 11 matches.
Coventry have enjoyed an impressive season and have lost just one of their 20 league matches and are unbeaten away from home.
Argyle are almost at full strength for the match with just the injured Becky Dandridge unavailable.
Into the squad comes Greece under-20 international Panagiota Papaioannou, along with Steph Beck, who had been away on a course. Beck is due to go to the USA in the summer coaching while midfielder Zoe Cunningham will complete her second match suspension.
Argyle (likely squad): Sarah Prior, Leah Burridge, Ebony Dover, Katie Middleton, Mollie Taylor, Jessie Jones, Kayley Lane, Tamsin Medd-Gill, Faye Ivall, Natasha Knapman, Helen Bleazard, Darcey Hepworth, Amber Pollock, Nicola Champion, Steph Beck, Panagiota Papaioannou.
