Pentathlon GB are sending a strong party to Hungary. The team includes world champion Jamie Cooke, who will be making his first return to the international circuit since his historic and dramatic triumph in Mexico City last September.
As well as 20-year-old Pillage and Cooke, the men’s team includes Joe Choong, Bradley Sutton, Tom Toolis and Sam Curry.
Bryson, 20, will feature in the women’s team along with Charlie Follett, Joanna Muir, Jess Varley and teenagers Zoe Davison and Olivia Green.
The competition will start for the women on Monday, January 28, with the men’s qualifying the day after. The finals will be held on January 30 and 31.
The Hungary indoor event will start of a long and important 2019 season with Budapest also hosting the World Championships in September. Before that, Olympic qualifying starts on June 1, while a home European Championships will take place in August, which will also offer Olympic places.
