The championships were held at the Leon Paul National Fencing Centre in Hendon.
Andrews competed in the men’s epee competition and took the national title after beating his Great Britain team-mate and number one ranked junior fencer Will East 15-8 in the final.
It was a remarkable achievement for Andrews, who already holds the British under-20 title, as he is just 17 years-old.
It has also boosted his national ranking points and secures him guaranteed selection for the Under-23 European and World Championships in June.
Andrews has already been selected to fight for Great Britain at the World Cup events in Serbia and Switzerland in February before heading to Italy for the under-20 European Championships in March and April’s World Championships in Poland.
