Young Plymouth divers claim titles at National Skills Finals in Manchester

PLYMOUTH Diving claimed two titles and a runners-up spot at the National Skills Finals in Manchester at the weekend.

Their gold medal performances came in the two youngest boys’ categories.

Evan Walker took victory in the E boys’ event (8/9 years) by 11 points. His club colleague Will Heath just missed out on a medal in the same category by finishing fourth.

Also topping the podium in Manchester was Theo Stevens, who triumphed in the D1 boys’ final for 10 year-olds. He finished more than five points ahead of Luton’s Jorden Fisher-Eames.

Plymouth Diving’s other medal came in the E girls’ event (8/9 years) where Eva Lang took silver behind Sheffield’s Hannah Gowan.

There were also top six placings for Amelie Underwood, Megan Angell and George Prior.

Yvie Tucker, Lily Walker, Rose McCabe, Phoebe White, Harlie Stringer, Isabel Wilkinson, Erin Devery, Alexander Whittaker, Harry Denham, Oscar Hart, Archie Waines, Jacob Angell and Alexander Snell were also part of Plymouth’s team at the competition.
